Mac W.I.P.
http://stephenytuarte.blogspot.com/

Well It's been a while since my last post. Also I should mention I've been hired full time at Visual Concepts in Novato California. We just wrapped up NBA 2K10. I worked on quite a few heads for that game. and in a way that's what this model/post is all about. The 2k sports series is all about character likeness and that's what I was hired to do. Having worked on so many heads I was really pumped and wanted to test myself on something a little iconic. In my mind the scene in predator when Bill Duke's character "Mac" pick's up "old Painless" and go's apeshit is the definition of the word Iconic! Either way I hope to put more time into this model as well as the miroslav and ns2 model as the year rolls on...

Smackdown Vs. Raw DLC
Geezus! finally. So yeah got some videos of the work I did at BlackPoint Studios. It's great to finally see work released to the public. I really want to thank the dudes who uploaded these videos to the web. I just hope they don't get taken off any time soon.

thanks to youtube users: "WrestlingVideoGames" and "VideoGameAnchormen"

so I created the models, sculpt, and textures on Butch and Doink.

I hope more of the characters I worked on show up soon.

GDC 2009
So I wasn't expecting to actually attend this year, but the company I work for got me in. So I decided to put up some models I was working on before going back to work. Here they are posted as w.i.p. cause they still got a long way to go...

http://stephenytuarte.blogspot.com/2009/03/miroslav-wip.html

and the "art test" I spoke of:
http://stephenytuarte.blogspot.com/2009/03/ns2-wip.html

so yeah I decided not to post these here on cgsociety cause it sucks having to update so many times. but hopefully these two wont stay w.i.p.'s to long.

oh and DW4 (not sure how far I'll get)

Damn what a year
2008...,

well what can I say. I Graduated, I went to GDC, and I waited...... a Long time. Then out of nowhere a Studio I sent a resume and portfolio to in March 2008 answered me back in mid August. Then just like that,

bam I was on my way to learning what the "industry" was all about. Since September I worked on some Props for a children's animation pitch, two XBox 360 titles and one unannounced Iphone game. I learned alot in just those short 3+ months.

2009,

I began my new years resolution to finally put my money where my mouth is and start a new crop of work as soon as I got home. These Characters would combine all the skills, tricks and cheats I learned at that crazy-contract-studio. (a great group of guys by the way) I was pumped! Then just like that,

bam, no more work.

Officially I'm on "standby" not fired, not let go, but all the same, not working.

So that said I'll cross my fingers and hope the contracts start pouring in. Until then, a NEW portfolio is in the oven... as I type.

Whoops
Hey gang,

Sorry about the false warning. If any of you thought I updated "new" work. I apologize. When I said I updated my portfolio, It turned out I forgot to include the sculpt updates of Frank's Hair, and Cap.

So there they are.

Feeling pretty lame, haha
