Aquatic creature concept (wip)

January 2008

Unlike the other characters ,this sculpt begin it's life as a simple concept started with z-spheres. From there I tried different proportions, and limb combinations. After I tested the character, I re-flowed the geometry in Maya and took it into Mudbox to continue experimenting. The more I played with a human anatomical construction the more amphibious it looked. Using Images of Salamanders, frogs, whales, and Newts, I decided on an aquatic theme. Basemesh was made using Z-shperes and Maya 8.5 and Sculpted in Mudbox.
